The department is pleased to announce that Eric Jackson has successfully defended his doctoral thesis on “Cross-Border Data Exchange in the Nordic-Baltic Region: Data Intermediaries, Interoperability, and e-Services Orchestration.” His research focuses on leveraging existing data intermediary infrastructures, such as the X-Road, to enhance cross-border e-services and data exchange across the Nordic-Baltic region. Additionally, it explores the potential for a global trust architecture through a case study on the World Health Organization and cross-border interoperability topics.
Supervised by Prof. Ingrid Pappel and co-supervised by Prof. Sadok BEN YAHIA and Prof. Dirk Draheim, Eric’s dedication and innovative contributions have been highly valued by colleagues and supervisors alike. His work stands as a testament to his commitment to advancing the field of digital governance and cross-border interoperability.
